Glass Jars with Burlap

Winter days equals a lot of crafty time-fine by me! I bought these jars at Michaels on clearance for dirt cheap. I gathered the materials below to decorate the jars.
First, I cut, wrapped, and hot glued the burlap across the center of the jar. Then I added some ribbon across the middle of the burlap. Next, I added some decorative flowers to hide the seams.
Finally, I added other embellishments such as twine, ribbons, buttons, keys, and wooden signs.
What is even better is how neutral they all are. Switching out flowers to match different rooms in the house or holiday seasons will be easy to do!

Baby Nursery Shadow Box

My cousin is due next month with her first bundle of joy! Maria and Matt have chosen to be surprised with the gender of the baby, hence decorating the baby's nursery in a neutral jungle theme. I used their color template for the nursery to create this adorable shadow box. With scrapbooking supplies such as little clothespins, fancy scissors, and cute giraffe stickers, this lil box took just under an hour to complete.
The little items on the clothesline can be removed by pressing the clothepins to write the baby's name and stats: date of birth, height, weight, time of birth, etc.
The bottom of the shadow box has a layered space for a picture of the baby, surrounded by the cute giraffes. The middle giraffe appears when you close the shadow box lid. I also made and gave them this little mini pop-out, jungle-themed scrapbook. Here is the front of the album:
Here is the back cover of the album, which includes two pull-out tags for pictures or journaling:
To open, just undo the ribbon and the album pops open revealing four squares:
Two of the squares pop open even more, allowing more space for pictures and journaling:
I wrapped up the shadow box and added this cute giraffe and scrapbooked tag:
I scrapbooked a little paper bag, a little lion tag, and crimped some green paper to look like jungle grass to place the mini scrapbook in:
Now that's a presentation fit for a jungle! I can't wait to see the mini scrapbook album and shadow box completed once the baby arrives!

Christmas Memories Shadow Box

This is a fun way to keep track of how many Christmas Holidays you and your significant other have spent together. I just took a shadow box and decorated the inside using scrapbook paper and embellishments. Then, I placed a photograph of our first Christmas together in the middle of the box, raising the picture up a little with circle pop-up sticky tabs.
I added the date of our first Christmas as well.
I used hot glue to attach ribbon around the sides of the shadow box, complete with a bow and extra embellishments on top.
Finally, I added a bell for each Christmas thus far that we have spent together.
What an easy keepsake to have and display at Christmas each year! I have a bag of silver bells behind the back of the shadow box to make it easy to add each year! I am making one of these for my brother and his new fiancé as well-what a nice gift it will be!

Snowman Pails

How cute are these lil pails! These were so easy to make!
I just cut burlap for the scarf and glued on buttons.
I added cloth ribbon and cotton balls to complete the earmuffs.
I added buttons for eyes and decorative scrapbook paper for the nose. Now, what should I fill these with?

Christmas Wood Blocks

The Holiday Season is right around the corner! I completed these wood blocks today to give as gifts! My husband cut and sanded the wood for me-a big thank you to him! I painted the wood and added decorative paper and other embellishments to complete these lil projects! What do you think?
